How to install GIT?

searched through forum posts…

  • OpenMandriva Lx version: ROME 25.03

  • Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…): KDE

  • Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

  • Unable to install GIT

  • used command: sudo dnf install git

  • and command: sudo dnf install git-all
    How do I install GIT?
    not in the package manager
    GIT website does not mention Openmandriva
    Lost & Confused - how should i proceed?

Hardware: 2-AMD EPYC 7K62 48 core CPU
512 GB memory
Supermicro motherboard
no GPU

We were doing a sync from cooker to ROME. The repos gave a 404 because they were offline. It would not have mattered what package you were trying to install.

OH! That makes a lot of sense. Thank you for helping, sorry my question was a bit pointless. Just ran the command again, worked as expected. Thank goodness it wasn’t a complicated solution, I was worried for a sec. Thank you for responding so quickly and have a great day!
