After a long period of distrohopping, i found this dristro somewhere on distrowatch, and i was getting interested on using an independent distro, and i got hooked by the openmandriva style of “ease of use” with rolling release availability without politics involved. I came from Mageia, another distro that got me hooked for some days, but i started to feel the need of a rolling release that still felt “out of the box”. I think i will stay here for the time being

If i stay for long enough, i will check where i could help the distro itself. I am no programmer and i can’t donate from my country :frowning: but i may help on these forums if i can or share any bug i find.

Welcome to OpenMandriva.

And personally (for me at least) helping on the forums counts. When people get stuck, regardless of their experience level, they need somewhere to turn. And if you’ve already run into that problem that helps.

Even if you didn’t “fix it” - there may be nothing you can do anyway. But it’s good to know that.

thank you guys :+1: that’s right @SomeDudeInAZ the most important thing in linux is definitely the community. I consider myself still a rookie on this, but i’ve always liked computers and linux has caught my attention since my laptop’s warranty expired and W10 reached EOL :melting_face:

i found a few problems (nothing critical) that i plan to share either here or report on github, but i will take my time to check the forum and the issue lists on github before that (i haven’t had much time to read this week :woozy_face::sweat_smile:)
