Hello everybody

hello everybody, i know i have been here from sometime now, but until last week i never really introduced myself, so i thought to say hi

i’ve started my linux journey very long time ago with Fedora Workstation 22 (we’re now at 42) and incredibly enough i’ve never changed it for real (excluding 3 days with ubuntu and some korora), and i’ll be honest, i still love it. But lately i kinda got bored and felt like trying something new, so i started trying other rpm distros, especially since i felt like community effort is more romantic (and morally right) than giant corporations backing your @ss (despite i don’t have any problem at all with red hat eh)

first started with openmandriva 5 gnome, but unfortunately after being installed, it wouldn’t boot on my system, it worked perfectly on live but not at all when installed (despite my system being full amd), so tried mageia gnome, which booted perfectly but well, was not very good, quite the contrary (no offense intended :stuck_out_tongue: )

i remained with fedora but some weeks ago i noticed openmandriva 6 was released, so i thought of trying it again to see what’s changed, and i had a surprise, it actually does boot now and it’s much more modernized than what the 5 was

i have installed it in a separate ssd (where the other has fedora) but in two weeks i only booted omv and loving it so far

there are still some little quirks but i’m having a very pleasant time with it, so i thought about introducing myself, althought this wanted to be more of an appreciation post for those developing the omv spin so lovely to use

thank you
