Have a light/dark background on gnome

Sooo, i installed OpenMandriva gnome last month and i was greeted with this wallpaper

which, is you ask me is really lovely, but i was thinking, what about having a lighter variant of it?

as you may know, gnome has the ability to have dark/lighter variant of themes and i have set mine to automatically change based on the time of the day

fedora has it that every background is double, one lighter for the white theme and one, same, but darker, for the black theme

would be nice to have that too

(on a side note, that background is not even among backgrounds in the settings menu, so it should be more discoverable as changing it means you can’t set it anymore, unless you go search for it in the right hidden folder)

thank you

Since this is not support related, it has been removed to Desktop

It looks more like a feature request

I know it’s a nightmare, they are deliberately making it a nightmare cause they don’t won’t people to theme it

they also opened a site where all gnome developers stands against theming…

lucky for me i like the default style…

Well probably it is but doesn’t seems too unreasonable to me

it’s not like asking for a new package manager to work or to develop some app

just saying that it would be nice to also have a lighter version of the default background (and yes fedora has it and in my view it’s a good thing)

but well i’m no designer myself so maybe i’m just underestimating the task

Where would you get those images? Each one needs two. They don’t make themselves.
