  • nothing provides python(abi) = 3.11 needed by chrome-gnome-shell-10.1-4.x86_64 from rolling-x86_64

I have seen this topic discussed a bit over the last few days. It is being looked at.

I was just told it is fixed in Cooker. We are just waiting for the next UM to bring the fixes to ROME. I don’t want to tell you to try to update a single package from Cooker when that could cause some serious version issues on lots of programs. Especially when dealing with the multiple versions of python.

It is updated I’m cooker, we desperately need to update rome, which will be done relatively soon I believe, but some things have come up that is preventing it

I have seriously considered changing the repos to Cooker and run that until the next UM, but all of my stuff is working, so I have not done it. I can’t recommend it to others, but it is certainly an option. Just don’t do it without hanging out in the Cooker matrix chat. You would need to ask if it is safe every time before doing a dsync. At the next UM, just change back to Rolling repos.
