Gah. Your tab just crashed. (Firefox)

I am getting this a lot in FF in Lx 4 but not all in FF in Lx 3. Issue has not happened in other browsers mainly chromium so far as I know.

My question is are other Lx 4 users seeing this in FF? Or is this just happening to me. Would like to know before filing a bug report.

If someone else has reported this I have missed it.

If I run FF from command line there is no output about this or anything else.

If I run FF with ‘firefox -safe-mode’ and a new profile this still happens.

about:crashes gives this output >>> Hmm. That address doesn’t look right. >>> Which I’m fairly sure is wrong?

I have tried unchecking “Use recommended performance settings” and “Use hardware acceleration where available” and neither has helped a bit. Also reinstalled FF.

I believe the only key fact I have so far is that I have zero problem with this in Lx 3 (FF 65.0.2) and continual problems with this in Lx 4 (FF 66.0.2). Or if about:crashes is not working could something be wrong with our FF package? Wonder if downgrading to 65.0.2 would fix this in Lx 4?

There are multiple FF bug reports about this but other than some of the things I tried above they aren’t very helpful. At least the ones I’ve found.

Here’s 3 tab crashes in row from journal"

libthai.so.0.3.1??? Huh?

Post-edit: Fixed with an update if I remember correctly.
