Error when trying to remove Akregator

Hello,

  • _**OpenMandriva Lx version: ROME, znver1

  • _**Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…): KDE

  • _**Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant): I right-clicked on Akregator and then selected Uninstall or Manage Add-Ons. I then received an error “Unable to create KIO worker. Unknown protocol ‘appstream’.”

  • _**Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…): Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 4. AMD Ryzen 5 5625U with 16 GB RAM.

My ROME installation is fully updated by the following commands:

sudo dnf clean all ; dnf clean all ; dnf repolist
sudo dnf --allowerasing distro-sync

Are you using an alternative menu type? I don’t get that option when I click it from the menu.

To remove packages please use the console

sudo dnf remove package-name

Should you encounter any issue, like it seems the case here, please post the console output (all the console output including the command/s).

As a common practice, if the output is long please either copy to a plain .txt file and attach it or use some pastebin-alike service and post the link.

I think so. I right-clicked the Plasma menu, selected “Show Alternatives”, then selected “Application Launcher”. Is that what you were asking about?

Ok, I can do that. Thank you!
