I tried adding ‘–skip-broken’ to skip uninstallable packages, got the same result.

Any thoughts?

Hi @deltakprime
pyside2 should be rebuild after the update of clang. @ben79 fixed this in cooker so it should be fixed soon in ROME.

Hey mandian & ben79:

Thank you so much…I’ll watch for it!

I really appreciate all your help.

Wishing you both a great day!
Mike

PS:
Where will the rebuild status of clang be initially posted?

Any news re: clang update?

Freecad build fails:

Fail reason b'error: Package check /usr/bin/rpmlint --file /builddir/build/SOURCES/freecad.rpmlintrc /builddir/build/SRPMS/freecad-0.21.2-7.src.rpm failed.' b error: no type named 'mt19937' in namespace 'boost'; did you mean 'std::mt19937'? b error: no member named 'mt19937' in namespace 'boost' b'error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.cfpex7 (%build)'

Will need the attention of developers when they get time.

@bero fixed freecad in Cooker and package is built. It will be in ROME (rolling) next time there is a major update. That should be soon in OM time.

I should also add that I tried building the new “fixed” freecad for ROME (rolling) and it would not build. That means that freecad will need other library or system packages that will come with the next major ROME (rolling) upgrade.

Current stable version: 1.0.0

FYI
Thanks.

Yes we should upgrade to newer version. Sometimes that can take some time depending on the nature of the changes. Let’s hope this time it is just a simple upgrade with little to fix.

Meanwhile the version in Cooker does install and open:

I’ll leave how well it works to people that know what they are doing with this software.

We are working at packaging version 1.0.0 with the new Qt6-based GUI, it will be in cooker repository soon.

Thanks for the attention and the updates.
I’ll be ready to try it again when the new release is out.
Mike

I am trying to builld the new version with qt6 support and push it in into main branch. Most of the dependency packages are ready, but this still requires some days.

You may always follow the build status in real time of any packages at OpenMandriva ABF.

freecad-0.21.2-7 installs in ROME system.

Ben:

Thanks… I successfully installed FreeCad yesterday…
…SFSG!
:sunglasses::+1:

I’ll get a better look at it today.

Later…
Mike

FreeCAD 1.0.0 is in cooker now and will be soon in Rolling too (version 1.0.0-8).
