What OpenMandriva version?
If possible what build ID number?

OpenMandrivaLx.rolling-snapshot.20250427.3925-plasma6x11.x86_64

Ok that’s the ROME plasma6 full iso and should not miss anything.

Please remember to mention this important info in any new topics you will start.
ROME plasma6.x11 x86_64

I don’t want to appear rude but apparently not everything is in there, I feel like I’m going back in time fifteen or twenty years. Back then it was also very difficult to get your printer working in linux.
There must be something missing in the iso because any other distro I install, immediately the printer is recognized?

Make sure you install task-printing

sudo dnf install task-printing

You should be able to use IPP Everywhere driverless from the list of detected printers.

We don’t bloat our ISO with every conceivable PPD that users may or may not need. Some users appreciate that. There is no way our devs could know what printer you are using. Especially since there are printers you need to use IPP Everywhere with because the drivers do not work from the vendor due to age and lack of support for EoL printers. Sorry, but there was never a complete solution to make printing easy, and you probably bought your printer so it could run on Linux distros with older libraries. That’s the mainstream pipeline for hardware support on mainstream distros. We are not that and we are not based on any of them.

It seems like you are sharing a printer from CUPS on a mac. If you don’t have it configured correctly it may not work properly anyway.

I installed system-config-printer and entered the ip address of the printer in it, connection happened automatically
