Enter key not working in Konsole

Hello,

Requirements:

I have Searched the forum for my issue and found nothing related or helpful
I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the the Release Notes and Errata

OpenMandriva Lx version:

Fresh download and install from today.

OpenMandrivaLx.rolling-snapshot.20250615.4008-plasma6x11.x86_64.iso

Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

pressing enter / return in Konsole does nothing after a fresh install. Which is bad because can’t do anything now.

Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):

It’s a VirtualBox installation with macOS as host.

Update 1

I tried to log in with root and worked. Of course I don’t want to use the system as root user all the time.

Update 2

Using root I was able to install zsh I was able to install zsh and that worked. So it’s some kind of bash problem.

Is this an intel based Mac?

Still Intel. But since the enter key works everywhere else including zshell I suspect a problem with bash. I also haven’t used bash in decades so it might be my configuration as I reinstalled the operating system from scratch but keeps /home on a separate partition.

Quick test: install xguest, logout, enter the guest account and check if things look correct there.
If they are ok then it’s a configs problem in your home.

The problem is this isn’t being widely reported in other configurations on our side. It’s more than likely a VirtualBox issue. Please check their forum for reports, also.
