Element flatpak fails to authenticate with a kio error

Hello,

Requirements:

I have Searched the forum for my issue and found nothing related or helpful
I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the the Release Notes and Errata

OpenMandriva Lx version:

ROME 2504 znver1 and x86_64, Wayland and X11

Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):

KDE Plasma

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

After a fresh reinstall to test Brave crashing with x86_64, I found that I could not get Element flatpak to work. It refuses to allow me to get through the webpage authentication/verification process with a KIO error. I reinstall back to znver1 and I have the same issue. I can use Element in the Matrix website just fine.

I open the fresh install of the Element flatpak and it looks normal.

I click Continue and go to the website where I expect to authenticate and then verify the device. Looks normal.

I click Continue and I get this error. The number is different each time, so I doubt I am giving away state secrets here.

What file can it not read? Is it on the website? It’s not like they are offering any support.

Unfortunately, it may need that packed into the flatpak for it to work properly. I would contact the author of the flatpak for help.

It was working fine till I reinstalled.

On the other hand… While testing this, I opened Chromium to see if I could verify the device like Brave and BEHOLD, after maybe 5 seconds, it crashes back to the desktop, just like Brave. I have to go update that thread with this new revelation.

After logging in, and approving access to that account, it should be trying to save your session key. TO me it seems like the request to Kwallet via a KIO Client (?) Kwallet related issues were happening for me on Rock 5 as well, BUT the app did not crash and did work.

To be honest, most of my problems revolve around kwallet not working correctly as a key storage source. I’m about roll Rock 6 and I’ll see how things go there.

Not complaining either. OM is working great. There are just a lot of moving parts and this sort of things is kind of expected to some degree.
