Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):
Standard behviour for KDE Dolphin is when opening konsole with F4 shorcut, konsole takes setting from whatever is set by default in konsole.
In OM when you press F4 in dolphin it opens konsole always with openmandriva profile and any chage is reset when you restart dolphin.
No, as you can see on the pictures I sent, I already created new profile and it works just fine in konsole when started alone, it just doesn’t work in dolphin.
Like I said in my first post, dolphin takes the settings from konsole, at least that is normal KDE behaviour, but I chaned the settings in konsole and dolphin just ignores it.
For me I opened a terminal with F4. It was using the Built-in profile. I switched it to the profile I wanted and then did a right click ‘Edit current profile’. Under the name of the profile there was a checkbox ‘Default profile for new terminal sessions in Dolphin’. Once I choose that the terminal profile is always the one I picked. Even after closing and reopening Dolphin.
No replies there. Usually if/when anything is fixed or worked there is a comment with link to invent.kde.org pertinent bits.
Or it’s tagged as duplicate if it’s that the case.
Not seing any of them one would assume the bug is disregarded.
Well I hate to tell you this, especially after all the screenshots that you posted in previous issue, don’t assume that I didn’t checked in a few other distros if they have the same issue. Second, it’s not a bug, it something OM does on purpose or by mistake, I don’t know, but all the other distros when you set a profile in konsole as default use that one as default one for dolphin as well.
clb had the right answer
Do you want to see it as a bug or a feature, that’s on OM dev to decide, but this post can be closed now
P.S. where does OM put konsole OpenMandriva profile?
