Dnfdrake error

With my first post I want to welcome you to the Forum and share the problem that made me look for answers and help.
It’s about dnfdrake. It starts with the following error:

This application has raised an unexpected error and must abort.
[45] File or directory does not exist.
Fmain.From_Open.161

Openmandriva 6.0 Rock system fresh after installing xfce4. I installed the WM LXQT version for the first time and this error appeared. I changed the desktop to XFCE and it’s exactly the same.
Where does this error come from and how do I deal with it?

Welcome @mark! We are glad to see you and hope you will make this your home.

This is probably an issue with the version of Qt installed in the system. Normally, Plasma pulls in the correct version. If you are able to open an Issue here, then we can have a dev or packager take a look:

If you do not want to create a GitHub account, then let us know and contributor can create one for you.

Thanks for your interest. The problem is that it is not related to Qt. As I wrote earlier, the problem occurred after installing the LXQT iso. I reinstalled it but with the XFCE iso and the effect is exactly the same. I am surprised that no one has paid attention to this problem so far, well I have not found a similar issue on the Forum. Maybe people are satisfied with the terminal itself, because everything works smoothly from the finger. However, the fact is that the dnfdrake application does not work.

So far, you are the only person to report this issue. I can assure you that it is being looked it.

Are you able to file a bug report, or do you need someone to do it?

That looks confusing.

Did you install the Plasma iso (?) and added on top of it… what?
xfce? lxqt? both?
Made a new install of the lxqt iso after?
Made a second new install of the xfce iso after?

Did dnfdrake work on plain Plasma iso?

I installed a fresh distro dedicated exclusively to xfce. My first contact with the OpenMandriva system was the LXQT desktop. Discouraged by the failure with dnfdrake I installed xfce, but the problem did not go away. Plasma concerns KDE and I do not like it
If I may ask, because I do not really know how to process a bug report, so if someone could help me with this or maybe direct me…

So, to summarize your experience:
- working in regular Plasma6 system fresh install (expected)
- not working in LXQt fresh install nor in XFCE fresh install

Openmandriva 6.0 Rock

Correct?

To summarize:
dnfdrake does not working in a fresh XFCE install, nor previously in a fresh LXQt install.
OpenMandriva 6.0 Rock

Please read what people post instead of ignoring everything that comes after things they say that you think does not solve your problem.

Please explain how you know this. Other people could benefit from that information. You are probably correct, but just saying you know it isn’t the issue does not help anyone. It’s probably looking for a config file. I know because I brought the bug to the dev’s attention some time ago. This happens when you don’t have a local config file for it and the system wide one does not exist.

It can also sometimes occur when trying to load the form when a Qt library is missing. The presumption for the majority of cases will be that the user will install Plasma when using dnfdrake. This is because OMLx is primarily a Plasma distro. LXQT is a spin, and supported by a community maintainer. There may be Qt components shipped with Plasma that are not shipped with LXQT, and vice versa. This is what I mean by an explanation.
