Display issue when booting with HDMI present

Hello,

  • OpenMandriva Lx version: ROME plasma6.x11 x86_64 build 3522

  • Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…): KDE?

  • Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):
That’s not really an issue I just wanted to submit a bug report but couldn’t find where to do it. So here goes:
Launching Mandriva as live os from a USB with HDMI cord plugged into laptop just stops at some point. I have two monitors - one is on the laptop and a separate one, connected via HDMI, so when I choose to launch the os as Live OS the screen shows some text and then just stays black without mouse or anything. When I turn off the laptop text comes back but then it shuts down as it should. I have to remove HDMI and then wait untill it boots in and THEN plug it back for two monitors to work.

  • Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):
    PULSE GL76 gaming laptop
    Hartens MT-27ECM monitor

Any help with testing would be appreciated whether one is technically proficient or a very non-technical user. The more people and more hardware we can get involved the better we can make OMLx releases and packaging. We do a lot of testing in VM’s as well. Developers tend to use Qemu, most user level testers use VirtualBox.

Yes, please file a bug report.
