Dell G15 - Fresh Install of OM Starts to a Blank Screen

Hello,

  • OpenMandriva Lx version:

Installing from:
OpenMandrivaLx.rolling-snapshot.20250303.3721-plasma6.znver1.iso

  • Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):
    Will be Plasma 6, if I am eventually successful.

  • Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

I install to my Dell G15. Install goes without a hitch. When I restart, it boots to a black/blank screen.

  • Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):

Dell G15
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics
GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile / Max-Q (rev a1)
32 GB of 3200 DDR4

Right now, I am running off Endeavour OS. If anyone can give me an idea of how to start troubleshooting this, I will be grateful.

Unplug any secondary monitors if this is your case.

You know… I used to be a darn good tech, back when I was in support. I seem to have forgotten the basics. I will do a new install and let y’all know what happens.

OK, unplugging the extra monitor lets the new install boot. Unfortunately, after it boots, it apparently performs a soft restart. All of a sudden, I am looking at the login screen. Log back in and everything is closed. Right now, I am using the live boot to access the internet and talk to you fine people.
