Hi,
looks like there is some strange trend to remove discover from iso and task-plasma.
No is not, just start respecting decisions made by the team against it.
I wonder on what basis this happened ? Found no bugreports filled on issues.openmandriva.org that points to discover crashing, failing, destroying world.
On my two installations found no issues with discover. Yet i feel that not shipping default Plasma extensions/apps shop is like shipping Android without Google Play.
That matters ZERO.
Again, stop that 'works for me', on the distribution level is has to
work for _all_ or for almost all.
Can we please have some bugreport, so again decisions can be based on facts not the rumours ?
Are you serious?
Just to mention, i've long time ago split discover support to packagekit, so it is not pulled on iso, and it does not interfere with dnfdragora.
As long we use dragora that packagekit support from discover should
not even exist.
It is (half)broken by itself and it races with dragora.
But ignoring the packagekit issue, and ignoring other discover problems,
it pulls in dconf, gCRAP, flatpak, fwupd and what not...
That is a problem too since we decided against flatpak being there by
default as well fwupd since it may quick eat your hardware.
(As a note, without the packagekit or any backend being installed
discover still
defaults to that. So first a user sees is a page telling him is not working.)
That is your effort to push what you want in, no matter what, as long
it *WORKS FOR 'YOU'*.
You, even *LIED* about the *reason* discover need be there, really ridiculous!!.
Either way, you *still* have a vote, be around, vote and accept decisions.
If you can't, then we have a problem.
