Can't find OBS plugins folder

Hello,

Requirements:

I have Searched the forum for my issue and found nothing related or helpful
I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the the Release Notes and Errata

OpenMandriva Lx version: Rock 6.0

Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):

KDE

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

I want to install some plugin for OBS studio and I don’t know how it’s done.

The page OBS website says all I need to do is paste the downloaded plugin to ~/.config/obs-studio/plugins but I am not finding an obs folder in the .config directory.

Seems easy but I’m stumped.

So I found /usr/share/obs/obs-plugins and copied some plugins to that folder hoping that would do it.
It didn’t.
Any more knowledge welcome.

Also, it looks like I installed through flatpak. I though I used dragora but yum extender has it listed as a flatpak.

[Edit: I reinstalled in dragora without flatpak and that gave me the path /.config/obs-studio/plugin_config but copying files to this folder has NOT given me any plugins yet.]

If installed from dnf the files are in ~/.config/obs-studio/

If you installed with flatpak the files are in ~/.var/app/com.obsproject.Studio/config/obs-studio/

Every config you install for any flatpak app will have it’s files in a hidden folder in your user’s home folder.

.var/app/appropriate-app-name-here

If you use the flatpak for obs studio you can install a lot of plugins by using flatpak and they will install themselves in the appropriate place.

You can find a list of the ones you can install on Install OBS Studio on Linux | Flathub
At the bottom of that page go to the “add ons” tab.

Also, dont forget that if you have obs open and running while you install a plugin you have to restart obs in order for it to see the new plugin.

Thanks. Good to know where the flatpak config files go.

Still wasn’t working after moving the file to the right folder, so installed the flatpak again and installing a flathub plugin works. Unfortuntaly, manual install still hasn’t worked. I must be missing something but for now I can play with the available flathub plugins.
