Build 1899 not booting after installation to external SSD - grub rescue prompt

LXQt build 1899 from ABF was installed to an external SSD, twice, only to get a grub rescue prompt on the first boot after each installation: /boot/grub2/i386-pc/normal.mod not found

Is this fixable? Thanks.

Probably. We need to find someone somewhere that knows how to make this work or we need to find a clear reason why grub2 is not recognizing the external device. Since no one in contributor group is doing this we have no way to try to reporduce the problem. Reproducing would be the first problem solving step. But we know it can be done if it is done with other Linux distros.
