Boot problem

Hello,

  • OpenMandriva Lx version:

OpenMandriva Lx 4 final

  • Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):

Not applicable, but I assume KDE

  • Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

I installed OM4 twice to this machine. The installation went smoothly, but when I rebooted, there was no boot. I wonder if I got the AMD Phoenix BIOS set correctly, but it works fine for Ubuntu-based distros on this machine. I get told at boot that there is no boot device on this machine.

  • Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):

I have a new laptop, a Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15ACL 80TJ, AMD-powered.

Is secure boot enabled? Did the installer list any error regarding installing boot loader?

OM Lx won’t work with secure boot enabled.

It looks like my issue. Can you put a screenshot of install stage where you can see the proposed partitioning after installation?

In my case it only worked with secure boot…

In my case, I have Secure Boot turned off, such as AMD A6 Phoenix BIOS allows (they call it something else than Secure Boot). I have to for the sake of my other distros. But I now have a different setup on my old computer and might try adding it there.

According to developers OM Lx does not at this time work with secure boot. I don’t know what is going on with @raphael’s situation. But

does not make sense.
