Hello users and developers,
Taking into consideration how much these clowns politicians/lawmakers try their best to build a dystopian digital camp all around the world (WEF 2030 agenda), God forbid it happens and thanks God we still have time to fight, but how would Age Verification impact OpenMandriva? I think all distros and developers need to unite and fight back, start a petition or something. You can’t just stop distributing your system in certain US states or countries because of these retarded, anti-constitutional laws because they will keep pushing this Age Verification law into other states and countries, so you will have nowhere to go eventually!
And to see a bigger picture, here is a reminder how the online freedom and privacy are under attack right now:
- Global Age Verification on OS level (started in UK, spreaded throughout the World i.e. Brazil, California, Colorado, etc.). People who are in files want to create a database of kids - like what? they don’t have real issues/criminals to go after?
- Talk about banning VPNs (they pulled some VPN apps from app store as per Russia’s government request). They also implement so-called “security protocols” that makes your VPN experience slow and bad. Some services just ban VPNs
- Google kills Android and open-source software by forcing developers to verify themselves: provide personal identified information, agree with terms and conditions, pay fee, etc.
- Hardware computer components prices skyrocketed, so you can be controlled by big tech who will provide you a cloud-computing or cloud-gaming computer because you can’t afford to run a computer; have nothing and be happy.
- All new laptops are full of AI cr@p like Microsoft Copilot, and all new laptops come with AI processors but nobody asked them
- They want to scan your end-to-end encrypted messages and detect CSAM, but the illegal content is only 0.0000002% !!! (in EU)
