Messed about with Linux distros in the 2000s but went full-time in 2010 with Ubuntu 10.04. Been mostly using Ubuntu and Mint since then, occasionally trying out something else for a bit. I work in Blender and GIMP, explore virtual worlds in Second Life and Opensim, and play games on Steam. Configuring an operating system and desktop environment are a means to an end.

My computer uses a Ryzen cpu and AMD gpu. I’m attracted to OpenMandriva because it is compiled for Zen processors. I was impressed by the speed of the live ISO for OM Lx 4.1 and decided to take a chance on making it my operating system instead of Ubuntu 20.04.
