Updating problems again with Kapps 17.04

Maybe it is just a repository synchronism problem:

“A package could not be installed:
task-plasma-5.9.5-7-omv2015.0.noarch (due to conflicts with lib64KF5Kipi5-17.04.0-2-omv2015.0.x86_64, Due to conflicts with lib64KF5Kipi5-17.04.0-2-omv2015.0.x86_64, trying to update digikam, digikam)
Proceed installation anyway? (Y/n) n”

I’ve just managed to build digikam-5.5.0, please wait for mirror to sync up.

Update went smoothly :thumbsup:

Good then :slight_smile:

Not yet here. In a set of 620 packages to update, only two seems to have been updated. Now, after answering “yes” to allow the installer to remove some old packages, a set of 618 packages (already download at /var…) is to be installed but installation ends up with the following messages:

“error while checking dependencies
There has been failures while installing some packages.”

And nothing is really installed.

Tried alternatively update step by step. First the package for okular and its dependencies and everything went fine.
Then I tried digikam. In this case, about 200 packages had to be updated/installed and some should be removed. After installing about 150 packages, installation failed with messages about conflicts with kde-l10n packages. There has already been a message in this forum about problems with kde-l10n packages! These are the error messages to install digikam:

"Installation failed: file /usr/share/doc/HTML/pt_BR/gwenview/index.cache.bz2 for installation of gwenview-17.04.0-1.x86_64 conflicts with package kde-l10n-pt_BR-16.08.3-1.noarch

with latest update of task-plasma things should be better

I have the same problem as adelson.oliveira.
I wanted to update the task-plasma-5.9.5-7-omv2015.0.noarch
and task-plasma-minimal-5.9.5-7-omv2015.0.noarch packages and the update failed with conflicts with the kde-l10n-en_GB-16.08.3-1.noarch package.

Please wait for task-plasma-5.9.5-8 to be available on your mirror. This should fix the update issue.

I still have the problem with KDE-l10n packages even with the new version of task-plasma:

task-plasma-5.9.5-8-omv2015.0.noarch.rpm
task-plasma-minimal-5.9.5-8-omv2015.0.noarch.rpm

These two packages above are now at /var/cache/urpmi/rpms.

PS: I tried to force a new download of the packages by cleaning up all packages at /var/cache/urpmi/rpms but it didn’t help.

Please attach output from console command executed as root:
LC_ALL=C urpmi --auto-update --debug

This forum doesn’t allow for attaching files.

The output of LC_ALL=C urpmi --auto-update --debug has more lines than command line is able to retain.
Alternatively I issue,

LC_ALL=C urpmi --auto-update --force --debug >urpmi.txt 2>&1

to have all messages at file urpmi.txt.

I would send an e-mail with the file urpmi.txt attached if I know an e-mail address.

Among the (thousand of) messages, there is one like

task-plasma-minimal 5.9-5 is needed by task-plasma-5.9-5.8,

which seems to say that the newest package task-plasma-5.9-5.8 requires an older version of task-plasma-minimal. Weird.

TPG,

This is an attempt to send an attached file with the output of

LC_ALL=C urpmi --wget --auto-update --force --debug >urpmi.txt 2>&1

urpmi.txt (513 KB)
