Preferred package update method?

Hello,
Early OpenMandriva Lx 4 Alpha builds featured a very nice Packagekit integration in Plasma. When an uodate was available, I could just click the update applet, review the list of packages and hit the Update button. No password prompt, no hassle, it worked beautifully!
The more recent OMV 4 Beta builds have changed it. Now we have the Dnfdragora applet loaded by default. When an update arrives, it is handled by Dnfdragora instead of Packagekit.
I wonder if it was decided to do so intentionally and if so - why?
Dnfdragora takes more time to update the list of packages and is generally slower. Why not revert to Packagekit?

We had nothing but problems with PackageKit/Discover - it seems to essentially break at random. We didn’t have the time to figure out what exactly is going on, so we opted for an alternative that works reliably.
