Need cmake v4.3.2 (or better), Rock has v4.0.1

Hello,

Requirements:

I have Searched the forum for my issue and found nothing related or helpful
I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the Release Notes and Errata

OpenMandriva Lx version:

OpenMandriva Lx release 6.0 (Vanadium) Rock for x86_64

Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):

KDE

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

Need to install cmake 4.3.2 or better but it seems that none of the repos have it available.

Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):

I am trying to build the LadyBird Browser (have built successfully in the past on this same machine) but now it requires version 4.3.2 of cmake & I only have 4.0.1 available to me.
I’ve enabled all OM repos but still don’t see the newer version.
I’m guessing the issue may be that I’m on Linux Kernel `6.14.2-desktop-3omv2590 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri Apr 18 21:01:44 UTC 2025 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Will moving to rolling Rome fix this issue?
Is there a way to query to discover if Rome would fix this issue before moving to it?

Look in repositories here. cmake for ROME would be in rolling/main/release. The latest version would be in cooker/main/release which should move to rolling(ROME) soon. Cooker is the OM development platform.

Yeah I found 4.3.4 in cooker. That one will work.

cmake-4.3.4-1-omv2690.x86_64.rpm

Is there are release schedule posted somewhere that shows when next cooker release goes?

Do these, in turn, move to Rock?

Thanks,

Eventually. Either switch to cooker or run a version of cooker in a VM and use LadyBird in the VM

There is no set release schedule. Cooker repos are cloned down to ROME whenever everything is deemed stable enough, ROME repos are cloned down to Rock in the same manner.
