I’ve been running OM for a little over a month now as my main distro. I had originally installed Fedora to evaluate as a more “up to date” distro that still maintained solid stability on a new NVMe drive and had only had it running for about a week before seeing the Lunduke video. I immediately wiped Fedora and installed OM Rome. My experience so far has been excellent. All of my software is available in the repositories or through Flatpaks and is up to date. I’ve experienced no crashes or any major bugs. The forum has been both friendly and helpful and being focused on code rather than a code of conduct is just glorious.
Having had such a positive experience with OM I’ve decided that it will be my primary distro going forward. It’s nice to be able to say I’ve found a home here with all you fine folks. As I can’t help much in a technical sense, I instead have made a donation to the project. I want to thank all of the devs and others who contribute to OM. You’ve all made something truly outstanding and I’m grateful for all of your hard work that us users get to benefit from. I’m very happy to have landed here.
