In live mode, an already outdated version of OMV LX 3.0 is loaded. In the live mode session it is possible to update packages. I guess all available updates are downloaded and installed. Hence, what happens if one decides to click on the “install button” on the desktop area after updating?
Can somebody tell me if installation of OMV LX 3.0 in live mode after updating packages does install an up to date version of OMV LX 3.0?
I don’t know. Does the 2014 installer install updated packages if one updates ‘Live’? I’m thinking that it does but Calamares is different. Someone needs to try and see I suppose.
I’ve tried. First I used the “remove-unused-packages” option of omv-welcome and then attempt to update. Some packages could not be updated (firefox, among others) and I gave up. Sorry for not having more details.
I entered the live mode again and then proceed installation without update.
Update was done after OMV LX 3.0 installation without any problem.
