That is a really good idea in view of Redshift being completely unsupported in OpenMandriva.
For users information: OM Lx 4.0 packages are omv4000 and any packages with 2015 or 3000 need to be rebuilt if they can be rebuilt. Also this one shows lack of attention here and here. The package does not exist in Cooker or OM Lx 4.1/Rolling. So it would not be in OM Lx 4.1 release unless someone steps forward to maintain the package.
More user information: It sure looks to me like the script to remove the unmaintained 2013, 2014, 2015, and 3000 (Lx 3) packages has been run on the Rock/4.0 repositories because redshift simply is not in the repository:
After further investigation surfing the repository actually it’s not there.
I just supposed dnf cache issue. Console was misleading here because output should have been “No package named redshift” or such.
$ sudo zypper install redshift
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...
'redshift' not found in package names. Trying capabilities.
No provider of 'redshift' found.
Resolving package dependencies...
Nothing to do.
PS>
This is in cooker, but dnf should have returned something similar as well.
$ sudo dnf install redshift

All the websites(*) are very slow. It’s an internal network issue on my host provider, since a week or more. They have taken the issue seriously (they say) and I hope it’s the case. I know between Christmas an new years eve things are sometimes slower (and in France social context is quite particular these days)
(*) Not ABF of course, but it’s in Switzerland, so it works like a cuckoo clock
