Hello,
I have issue with Brave browser. It crashes randomly. I put the error message below

I have had this happening too. I can start the browser and a few seconds later it just disappears. I can reopen it and it seems fine. Just a recent thing. Last week or two.

This is identical to the situation I’ve been experiencing including the time frame.

If you start brave from console does it return anything different/useful?

I updated Brave today and did not experience anymore crashing. Perhaps there was a fix issued. I’ll test further tomorrow.

After a few reboots, no crash. Maybe they fixed it on the last update. It could have been on Brave’s end.

Let’s see what @Qlayton says. If he’s good, I’ll close the ticket myself.

Brave has pushed a few updates lately.

today Brave it seems correctly work. i’m also running in x11 and brave version is 1.76.74

I clicked on the link to the bug report, so I could close it and the browser crashed. Of course I had not opened it in the terminal this morning, so I have no message from there.

Restarted in the terminal and it crashed as I clicked the link.

Just a thought. It seems to crash in the first few minutes the browser has been opened. A half hour later and I can follow that bug report link with no problem. That doesn’t make sense, but has anyone else seen this?

After installing the huge updates this morning and rebooting, I got several crashes in a row trying to get to this thread.

So, after several tests today, it crashes again.

I was using moodle while it crashs, maybe it will help

Mine even crashes at the newtab page. Just open the browser and give it a moment.

@WilsonPhillips I will try to desactivate the GPU acceleration in the system menu of brave.

Edit 2 min later : lol, I restart Brave after turned off GPU acceleration and BRave crashes 2 times in 1 min…

I’ve experienced another crash today as well. Seems the issue is not remedied yet.
