Hi.
Unfortunately, I do not have a 120 hz monitor to verify it or look for a solution. So I will try to “blindly” help.

Run in konsole:

xrandr

and check what mode is supported by your screen and drivers. Copy here output.

Also you can try set refresh rate in xrandr by this command:

xrandr --output DP-0 --mode 1920x1080 --rate 120

where DP is connection, mode your resolution and rate - refresh rate. Adjust this command to your specifications.

After i take out AMD card and insert nvidia card its look like its give some issue with sound. Its works nice with windows or ubuntu. Maybe a bug?

Tryed with xrandr --output DVI-D-1 --mode 1920x1080 --rate 120 screen got black and get image again, but still its not works?

You can set it in the Xorg config to be at 119.96 Hz. It’s a bug in plasma’s display settings panel right now, which is making it forget display settings or show incorrect ones in the refresh rate drop down menu.

Btw , don’t get me wrong but Linux is nothing for you.

Why do you say that? I don’t know his history with it, but from what i see it’s legitimate issues he’s having that also affect other users in different cases.

If OM gives you problems try Illumos instead. I can’t put a link here because OpenMandriva is mean to me. Illumos is the operating system of the future!

It’s a RC release of OM. OMLX4 RC. Of course it’s going to be buggy. Don’t just be plugging “use X distro” here because someone is having a problem. Why not help them fix the issue instead? Or offer something constructive to the conversation at hand.

Now after execute this command (to change refresh rate), show again output of xrandr.
It should show us if the refresh rate has been changed.

Now as you can see refresh rate is set to 120 hz. So all should work fine.

I was just posting something funny because you can’t use all the forum tools until you do a certain number of posts.

But the OpenMandriva people don’t tell you that. Nor do they tell how many posts you need to make to use all the forum tools. In the rule book that’s Catch 22.

Illumos is a sort of continuation of Solaris which was based on Unix System V Release 4.0 which was announced on October 18, 1988.

illumos is no more , this is on old openindiana
do not try this , do not support hardware before 5 - 7 years

Problem resolved. Refresh rate set to 120 hz, so no need to spam here with

besides, I think it’s a bit rude. I wonder if for example on Fedora forum, they would tolerate posts like - Hey, try FreeBSD… :smirk:

I see it as irony, nothing more nothing less.
But may be wrong

I’m pretty sure there are people at Fedora forum that know just how obscure Illumos is and that the comment was meant in humor.

For me it is amusing to see that there are people that think anyone in 2019 would seriously be suggesting for someone “to try Illumos”. That’s so ridiculous it’s, um, what’s the word? Funny.

Did not anticipate that reaction. Live and learn. And no more funny stuff from @bubbawarthog. From now on it is all serious business only.

@bubbawarthog apologizes for any offense taken and wishes for all to know there was no offense meant.
