Hello, everyone.
I would like to know what is the difference of the three options of OM Update Configuration.
OM Update Configuration:
Do not install updates automatically
Download updates automatically, install manually.
Download and install updates automatically.

Hi @lcom23
OM Update Configuration makes changes in file /etc/dnf/automatic.conf
Do not install updates automatically
Set download_updates = no
Basically: do nothing, let the user decide if and when to update the system
Download updates automatically, install manually
Default - Packages are downloaded but not installed automatically
Download and install updates automatically
Just what it says

Hi Rugyada,
Thanks for the explanations.
The default option is:
Download updates automatically, install manually.
In this option, a notification appears on the panel when there are new updates?

Yes, our current ‘Updates’ notification applet is discover-notifier, which will notify the user about available updates regardless automatic.conf settings.

It’s OK. That was my question.
I think it’s best to leave it in the default, for me it’s easier and safer.
Thanks!

People with network problems or limited bandwidth may prefer to set option 1 (do nothing).

In that case, the first option is better.
